The EMBA program of National University of Singapore has been entitled as the best EMBA in Asia. The similar approaches in overall theory and module teaching in the EMBA program at Tunghai University attracted Dr. Yeo Guat Kwang, former member of the Singapore Parliament, and Professor Catherine Xiang, Director of the NUS EMBA Program, to come to Tunghai for exchanges. The visitors were received by Tunghai University EMBA Director En-Te Hsu, EMBA Deputy Director Y.C. Tang, and Public Relations Director Joseph Huang. Faculty members invited to the meeting included the Dean of the Institute of Global Business and Strategy Yu-Fen Fu, the Department Chair of International Business Jun-Kuei Hsieh, the Department Chair of Accounting Shu-Wei Hsu, and the Department Chair of Information Management Cheng-Wei Lin. They discussed potential cooperation projects between the Tunghai College of Management and National University of Singapore.

Director En-Te Hsu stated that the curriculum philosophies of the two universities' EMBA programs are highly compatible. For example, the micro-credit course recently introduced by NUS, which requires 12 hours of study per credit, is similar to Tunghai University's EMBA's Buffet-style general theory module. This visit will inject more cross-border cooperation resources into the Tunghai EMBA program. Director Hsu also pointed out that there are many world-class hidden champions among the enterprises in central Taiwan. The teaching design of Tunghai EMBA program aims at helping central Taiwan enterprises to gain a foothold on the world stage. There will be more diverse channels and plans for cooperation between the EMBA and the College of Management of the two universities in the future. The plan is to arrange young corporate elites at Taiwan to visit and exchange in Singapore to strengthen cross-border and inter-school cooperation.
