A delegation from the Northern California (NCAL) Tunghai Association led by Dr. HW Chen and the Dean James Sims of the International College (IC) visited Sonoma State University (SSU) in beautiful rolling hills of Northern California wine country.  Similar to Tunghai, SSU is dedicated to the liberal arts and sciences and known for its active use of technology.  Like Tunghai, the SSU educational experience fosters intellectual, cognitive, social and personal growth.

The current University President at SSU, Dr. Mike Ming-Tung Lee, graduated from Tunghai FLLD and emphasized the value of his Tunghai education and his desire to build strong ties between the two universities.  To quote Dr. Lee, “Sonoma State is looking forward to building a closer relationship with my alma maters!”. 

This partnership will include bilateral/mutual exchange agreements and dual degree programs. To in order to strengthening this collaboration, NCAL Alumni and the IC will support two Sonoma students to attend the IC Mini-Semester.
