A total of 32 projects proposed by Tunghai University has been approved by the Ministry of Education's (MOE) under the Teaching Practice Research Program. The result ranks Tunghai University at the fifth place among over 150 universities in the country (excluding technological universities) and top among private universities in the central and southern regions.

The impressive 32 approved projects demonstrate the strong teaching capabilities at Tunghai University. In 2023, the number of students admitted to world-renowned universities also made a new high record. The Architecture department alone has over 10 graduates being accepted into prestigious universities like Harvard University, Columbia University, the University of Pennsylvania, and the University of London.

 

According to Tunghai University President Kuo-En Chang, the MOE Teaching Practice Research Program has been a highly competitive initiative aimed at helping university faculty enhance their teaching abilities and assisting students in acquiring knowledge. He attributed Tunghai's success to the university's long-standing commitment to improving educational quality, incubating excellent students, and the dedication of the entire faculty. In 2023, Tunghai was approved of a total of 32 projects, once again showcasing the university's efforts in student education and its robust research and teaching capabilities.

President Kuo-En Chang further emphasized that Tunghai University is committed to student-centered, goal-oriented learning. It has introduced the Liberal Arts Education 4.0 program to transform education for the future, reinforcing the essence of liberal arts education and nurturing well-rounded students with both humanities and scientific knowledge. Tunghai imparts deep-rooted liberal arts values to students, promoting "humanistic thinking as the foundation," "technological innovation as the method," and "environmental sustainability as the goal." The university encourages students to explore diverse opportunities, cultivate interdisciplinary expertise, and supports career counseling by offering relevant courses and interdisciplinary internships to prepare students for the demands of the industry.
